Tastes Bitter and Sweet

Jalen Hurts sitting on floor looking at trophy

To tell you that I was on the edge of my seat would be an understatement because I might as well have been on the floor. I could not believe what I was seeing!

In the moments when we scored the first Touchdown I felt relief... but only for a moment.

Then we got a field goal.

Then we scored scored again.

and again...

And before you knew it, it was 24 - 0. And the whole time I am thinking, "Don't let up on the gas!"

I kept thinking the Chiefs were still in the game. 24-0 and I thought they were still in the game. As the matter of fact, the exact moment I knew when the Chiefs were no longer in the game was in the 3rd Quarter when there were 2 minutes left. It was when I saw, floating through the sky, a Missile. Yes, a Missile! Jalen Hurts launched a freaking Balistic Missile through the air and it landed right in the hands of DeVonta Smith for the Touchdown in the Eagles endzone!

I was watching the game at a bar and the people went nuts when Smitty caught that ball. I knew then, just from the way our defense was toying with the Chiefs offense, that we are the actual Real Dynasty and the other 31 teams need to worried, worried bad!

The whole time while this amazing game was happening I was thinking like, "Man, what a story! What a culmination of stories that are unfolding right now."

The story of Saquon Barkley and how the New York Giants organization failed to see this man's worth. I call that "The Big Whoops" because when I picture that moron Giants GM Joe Schoen answering a reporters question about letting Barkley go, I just imagine him saying, "whoops...".

People! This is will go down as one of the biggest failures in New York Giants Football History! Sports Analysts will talk about this for years to come. They will use it as an example for when a valuable player has a contract dispute with their team and the team does not want to meet the player's requirements for pay; They will say, "Do you think the Cardinals are making a mistake? This could turn out like the Saquon Barkley situation when the New York Giants let him go to test Free Agency then he won the Super Bowl the following year."

Man, what a fumble on the part of the Giants!

And what about the story of Jalen Hurts and his critics. I was scouring the web for so called Analysts predictions and opinions on Jalen Hurts and the Eagles and about 99 percent of the crap I found was either saying: Chiefs will win or the Eagles will only win if Saquon Barkley gets going. I can only imagine how good this feels for Jalen. Remember his favorite bible verse? "You may not know now but later you'll understand". Well, they understand now.

There are so many stories!

The story of Zach Baun and how he was brought in for linebacker depth but turned out to become the Best Defensive player in the entire NFL.

The story of Mecki Beckton and how he was released from the Jets where he had a smattering of issues then turned around and became one of the best Guards in the league.

The story of Jalen Carter coming into the NFL with big expectations and not playing to that level in his rookie debut. I don't have to say what he did on the field because I might be arrested for saying what he did on that field this season. That is how bad this man is!

So many stories! I am just grateful to be in this community of passionate, insanely passionate, fans that love this team and love Philadelphia. We were snubbed from the Super Bowl in 2022 due to the infamous "not-so-much" holding call. That is a story! Redemption! It tastes Bitter and Sweet!

Look, I guess what I am trying to say is that I love this team, I love the passion, and I love these players! I only wish Jalen Hurts, in his post-game speech said what Brian Dawkins said when the Eagles won the NFC Championship in 2005,

"Give Me Some Some Respect Right Now!"
